A typo, a new formulation and an additional site are different types of change. Describe the change precisely so the appropriate review and editing process can be determined.
Identify the change and EPD
Record the declaration number, product, current version and affected information. Describe the previous and new situation. For technical changes, have your LCA specialist assess the potentially affected results and documents.
Determine correction or further review
Minor text corrections may be treated differently from changes affecting the LCA. Significant production or data changes may require reassessment. Agree the approach with IBU rather than making a binding classification yourself.
Assess new products and sites
Check whether an addition fits the existing scope and rules or requires a new EPD. Changing a product name does not automatically expand coverage. Prepare the additional data required.
Have the published version updated
Process the change through the agreed workflow and provide its supporting documents. Do not independently edit the published PDF. Check the new version at completion and update your sales and website materials.
