A published EPD provides traceable environmental information about the products it describes. Use it with a clear product reference and make its scope transparent.
State product coverage and validity
Link the EPD from the relevant product page and quotation documents. Include the declaration number and published location. Before using it, check whether the offered variant and site are covered.
Present environmental information in context
When presenting individual results, state the unit, modules and relevant conditions. An EPD is not a blanket confirmation that a product is environmentally better than every alternative. Comparisons require appropriate technical grounds and comparable conditions.
Use logos and marks correctly
Use the designated original artwork and follow the applicable rules for marks. Check your entitlement and the connection to the specific EPD. Do not extend a mark to products outside the declared scope without a basis.
Check markets and customer requirements
Clarify additional requirements early with IBU and your specialists. Acceptance in a particular tender or building assessment depends on its conditions. Retain the complete declaration as the basis for your communications.
