Status indicates the stage of a document. It helps you determine whether to edit content, answer questions or await completion of the process.
Editing and handover
The editing status identifies preparation of the EPD. Submission for verification indicates a handover to the review process. Actions depend on status and permissions; not every contributor can trigger the next step.
Verification and revision
Verification status marks the ongoing review. A return for revision requires corrections by the authors. Reverification follows once these are complete. Read the associated comments and documents to understand the specific task.
Approval stages and publication
Further statuses may concern approval, language review or final review. An approval recommendation does not equal publication. Use as a published EPD depends on completion of publication and the valid version.
Expired or withdrawn documents
For older declarations, check the validity date and publication status as well. A file remaining available does not prove current validity. Contact IBU with the declaration number if information is unclear or conflicting.
