A copy can make it easier to start a similar project. Existing content becomes a working basis, but its suitability for the new product needs review.

1. Select the source EPD

Open or select the appropriate source EPD and choose the copy action. This requires the relevant permission. First check its product, language and underlying rules.

2. Give the new EPD a clear name

Review inherited properties in the dialog and adapt them for the new project. Check any document types offered for copying. A clear name prevents confusion with the source document.

3. Adapt content technically

Compare descriptions, sites, results, scenarios and evidence with the new project. Track content that still needs replacement. Verification or publication of the source EPD does not automatically apply to its copy.

4. Continue the normal workflow

Save changes, check the preview and complete the documents. Establish the verification required for the new project. Use the language-version function when the actual requirement is another language of the same EPD.
