The Insti­tut Bauen und Umwelt e.V. (IBU) is pleased to announce the addi­tion of 14 new cor­po­rate mem­bers in the sec­ond quar­ter of 2024.

As an asso­ci­at­ed project part­ner, the Insti­tut für Bauen und Umwelt e.V. (IBU) has been sup­port­ing the Zukun­ft Bau research project PCR4PV since June 1st 2024, which aims to advance the fur­ther devel­op­ment of Prod­uct Cat­e­go­ry Rules (PCR) for Envi­ron­men­tal Prod­uct Dec­la­ra­tions (EPD) of PV appli­ca­tions as part of Zukun­ft Bau research fund­ing under the lead­er­ship of the Fraun­hofer Insti­tute for Solar Ener­gy Sys­tems ISE.

On 30.04.2024, the IBU pub­lished a new ver­sion of the PCR Part A (cal­cu­la­tion rules for the life cycle assess­ment and require­ments for the project report in accor­dance with EN 15804+A2:2019).

The IBU (Insti­tut Bauen und Umwelt e.V.) and the North Amer­i­can EPD pro­gram hold­er Smart EPD agreed to a mutu­al recog­ni­tion and open­ing the way for build­ing prod­uct man­u­fac­tur­ers to bring their EPDs to the Amer­i­can market. 

More and more com­pa­nies from the con­struc­tion indus­try are com­mit­ted to achiev­ing a high­er lev­el of sus­tain­abil­i­ty. This is reflect­ed in the fact that 26 new mem­bers joined the Insti­tut Bauen und Umwelt e.V. (IBU) in the first quar­ter of 2024.

The Insti­tut Bauen und Umwelt e.V. (IBU) has intro­duced life cycle assess­ment rules for re-use prod­ucts in its Envi­ron­men­tal Prod­uct Dec­la­ra­tions (EPDs).

Our inter­na­tion­al com­mu­ni­ty is growing. 

Today, the IBU is more inter­na­tion­al than ever and we owe this pri­mar­i­ly to our mem­bers from all over the world.
