EPDs from the IBU are generally recognised worldwide. Based on EN 15804+A2, the EPD complies with the European standard and is accordingly accepted by users in Europe and worldwide.

IBU generally does not provide evaluations and recommendations concerning individual products, since building products are normally semi-finished products. Their efficiency and environmental effects unfold only in interaction with other products in specific installation situations.
