IBU commits itself to the international promotion of sustainable construction and the use of EPDs.

Since many member companies and associations operate on different markets worldwide, IBU is working for cross-border recognition of EPDs:

  • IBU InternationalThere are existing cooperation agreements with different EPD programs from Europe and North America regarding mutual recognition of Environmental Product Declarations.
  • As a founding member of the “ECO Platform“, an association of European program holders, IBU promotes international networking.

The declared goal: The declared construction products are recognised without hurdles on European and international markets.
