The world of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and standardisation is characterised by a multitude of abbreviations and technical terms. Anyone involved in sustainable construction, building products or regulatory requirements is often faced with the challenge of correctly classifying and understanding these terms. To help with this, the Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V. (IBU) has created a comprehensive glossary that explains the key terms and abbreviations in this area in a concise and easy-to-understand way.
A practical tool
The glossary is aimed at anyone who works with EPDs, the CPR and other relevant topics: manufacturers, planners, auditors, researchers, and decision-makers in administration and politics. The aim is to decode the numerous abbreviations and terms and thus facilitate communication and understanding within the industry.
