How do we process person-specific data?

At certain points in our Internet appearance we offer you the possibility of contacting us, or of using specific services (e.g. newsletter subscriptions). The person-specific data transferred in this connection is used by us only for the purpose for which the data was provided. Your data is not passed on to a third party.

What is person-specific data?

Personal data refers to information that makes the identification of a person possible. This includes in particular your correct name, address and telephone number. Information that cannot be directly associated with your true identity (e.g. preferred websites or the number of users of a page) does not constitute person-specific data. Which data is collected?

If and to the extent that the Internet site offers the possibility of entering personal or business data (e-mail addresses, names, postal addresses), such data is provided by the user on an explicitly voluntary basis. Where both technically possible and reasonable, the use of all services offered is permissible even without the disclosure of such data, or under the disclosure of anonymized data or the use of a pseudonym. With the correct disclosure of the optional data, however, you enable us to assist you personally and individually.

Is the confidentiality of the e-mail correspondence / contact form guaranteed?

Should you wish to contact us by e-mail or contact form, we draw your attention to the fact that under certain circumstances the confidentiality of the information sent in this way cannot be guaranteed. The content of e-mails can be seen by third parties. We therefore recommend that you only send us confidential information via the post.

Is data recorded during my visit?

With every access of a user to a page of our website offer and with every call-up of a file, access data on this process is stored in a record file on our server:

•     IP address
•    pages from which the file was requested
•     date, time of day
•     type of browser and browser settings
•     operating system
•     the page visited by you
•     the quantity of data transferred
•     access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)

This data is used to generate statistics that help us to further adapt our Internet appearance to your requirements. A person-specific reference can only be deduced if you login to our page directly or access our website from a personalized page. However, passing-on of the data to a third party, even in excerpts, never takes place.

Do you make use of cookies?

We make use of session cookies on our pages. The data is not stored on a permanent basis. The use of the time-limited cookies offers you the benefit that, when filling out various forms in our website offer, you need not repeatedly input your personal data. The cookies are automatically deleted on closing the browser.

Most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. You can deactivate the storing of cookies, however, or you can set your browser to notify you as soon as cookies are sent.

If you have deactivated cookies, a so-called session ID serves to identify a person during connected access to our website. No data is stored on your computer. The session ID is deleted again after the ending of your access.

Do you make use of the web-advertising service Google Analytics?

This website makes use of Google Analytics, a web-analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and permit an analysis to be made of your use of the website. The information created by the cookies on your use of this website is transmitted, as a rule, to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We have activated the IP anonymization. On this website, within the member countries of the European Union or in other contracting states that were party to the agreement on the European Economic Area, your IP address is first shortened by Google. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. At the order of the operator of this website Google makes use of this information to evaluate your use of the website, to prepare reports on the website activities and to provide further website-utilization and Internet-related services vis-à-vis the operator of the website. The IP address transferred by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not brought together with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of the cookies by adjusting your browser-software settings appropriately. Do I have any influence on the use made of my data?

You have, of course, the sole right to decide whether and for what purposes we make use of your data. You have, for example, the possibility of receiving a newsletter. This can also be cancelled by you at any time. As a rule, you will find a link at the end of the newsletter that enables easy cancellation of the newsletter. Furthermore, you alone decide whether we ourselves may make use of your data for purposes of counselling, advertising and market research. And here again, of course, any consent given can be cancelled by you at any time.

Do you pass on my data to third parties?

Person-specific data is used by us, in the course of the customer relationship, for internal purposes only. It is not passed on to a third party without your necessary consent. Collection of person-specific data and its transfer to state institutions and authorities entitled to information takes place only within the framework of the relevant laws, or if we are forced to make such transfers by court decision. All employees and service companies have been bound by us to secrecy and to compliance with the data-protection provisions.

How can I examine, correct or delete my data?

In accordance with section § 34 and section § 6b of BDSG [German Data Protection Law], users have the right, upon request and free of charge, to information about the person-specific data stored on them. Users also have the right, in accordance with the statutory regulations, to correction, blockage and deletion of this person-specific data. In all such cases, contact us directly.

Will this data-protection statement also be altered?

On the basis of current circumstances, such as an amendment of BDSG (German Data Protection Law), we will – if necessary – update this data-protection statement.
