The new EU Con­struc­tion Prod­ucts Reg­u­la­tion brings sig­nif­i­cant changes for the har­mon­i­sa­tion of con­struc­tion prod­ucts. For the first time, the EU Com­mis­sion is autho­rised to set bind­ing envi­ron­men­tal require­ments for con­struc­tion prod­ucts at EU lev­el. In future, man­u­fac­tur­ers will be oblig­ed to include sus­tain­abil­i­ty indi­ca­tors in accor­dance with EN 15804+A2 in their dec­la­ra­tions of per­for­mance on envi­ron­men­tal and cli­mate require­ments. The reg­u­la­tion also pro­vides for used con­struc­tion prod­ucts to be includ­ed in the harmonisation.

In our webi­nar on 21 August 2024 from 13:30 to 15:00, Mar­tin Glöck­n­er, Man­ag­ing Direc­tor Reg­u­la­to­ry Affairs at Deutsche Bau­chemie e.V. and long-stand­ing board mem­ber of IBU, will pro­vide an overview of the future require­ments of the Con­struc­tion Prod­ucts Reg­u­la­tion with a focus on envi­ron­men­tal infor­ma­tion. He will explain the cur­rent sta­tus of the expect­ed imple­men­ta­tion, as well as the ques­tions and uncer­tain­ties still unan­swered by the EU Commission.

This webi­nar is aimed at man­u­fac­tur­ers of build­ing mate­ri­als and con­struc­tion prod­ucts, espe­cial­ly those who already have envi­ron­men­tal prod­uct dec­la­ra­tions (EPDs) and are famil­iar with the indi­ca­tors of EN 15804+A2.
