It provides environmental information for a defined product scope. The declaration owner is the responsible organisation named in the document; an editor is not automatically the declaration owner.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"abschnitt-2\" style=\"margin: 36px 0 14px; font-family: inherit; font-size: 26px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.35; color: inherit; scroll-margin-top: 120px;\">LCA and background report<\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin: 0 0 16px;\">Life Cycle Assessment, or LCA, assesses environmental impacts on a defined basis. The background report documents the data and decisions used, making the calculations traceable.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"abschnitt-3\" style=\"margin: 36px 0 14px; font-family: inherit; font-size: 26px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.35; color: inherit; scroll-margin-top: 120px;\">PCR and reference quantity<\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin: 0 0 16px;\">PCR means Product Category Rules. The declared or functional unit provides the reference for reported results. Publication is the subsequent completion stage making the EPD available.
