IBU Environmental Product Declarations Are a Europe-wide Industry Standard for Sustainable Building

SVR decisions November 2016

During the last SVR Meeting in 2016 new competencies of the SVRs concerning the appointment of verifiers were decided, and new developments were made for the handling of packaging quantities and CRM substances.

EPD

Update of EPDs after 5 years of validity required - IBU gives advice

At the IBU Annual General Meeting (AGM) in June, the general assembly agreed to the proposed procedure regarding the handling of expiring EPDs after their 5 year validity period. Pursuant to the joint proposal of the IBU Board and Advisory Board, all expiring EPDs have to be aligned to the current valid versions of the underlying PCR guidance documents before renewal.
